Rickey

Long before London Dry Gin cocktails like the G&T and the Martini gained widespread popularity, the Gin Rickey was already a staple in bars and drinking establishments across the nation. Invented during the late 1800s, a period often referred to as the Cocktail Renaissance, this uncomplicated concoction finds its place among the 30 straightforward gin cocktails that every budding home bartender should experiment with.

For a Gin Rickey, you’ll need:

  • Two lime wedges
  • 40ml of 13 Peaks London Dry Gin
  • Sparkling water

To prepare a Gin Rickey:

  1. Fill a glass with ice, and squeeze in the lime wedges.
  2. Add Sipsmith gin, and top it off with sparkling water.
  3. Give it a gentle stir and serve.
